IEP Development

What is IEP and what is its purpose?

IEP Development is an Individualized Education Plan. This is a plan or program developed to ensure that a child with autism who is attending an elementary or secondary educational institution receives specialized instruction and related services.

What is an Individualized Education Plan?

How do IEPs impact student success?

IEPs can and should be powerful drivers of student achievement toward their goals—and toward grade-level standards. IEPs can include self-advocacy goals to help students learn how to ask for support when they need it. These goals can also help students develop self-awareness about their strengths and weaknesses.

Supporting Academic Success.

IEP Development

Dr. Tedoff earned his Ph.D. in Special Education from UNLV in 2009. He worked as a special education teacher for the Clark County School District (CCSD) for ten years and still holds a current teaching license with endorsements for generalist special education, early childhood, and autism education ages 3 – 21. He has written hundreds of IEPs over the years and has reviewed many more. These experiences have made him fluent in IEP development and policies; particularly in CCSD. As a courtesy, and upon request, Dr. Tedoff will meet with any ABAI family for an hour-long IEP planning meeting once a year. During this meeting we will review your child’s IEP and discuss strategies for writing the best possible IEP for your child.
