ABAI engages in four types of continuing professional development. First, we actively recruit and train people to become Registered Behavior Technicians. ABAI has a program to support RBT candidates through the very difficult process of obtaining their credentials. Those interested in these opportunities should visit our Career page . Second, we actively work with BCBA and BCABA candidates to help them through the very rigorous process of becoming a licensed, practicing clinicians. Third, all ABAI clinicians engage in required continuing education in order to stay current with the latest developments in Behavior Analysis so they can bring high level of quality care to your child and family. Last, all ABAI RBTs receive ongoing training during each supervision meeting our clinicians conduct.

The purpose of professional development is to improve knowledge and skills in order to facilitate individual, school-wide, and district-wide improvements for the purpose of increasing student achievement. Educators face continuously increasing requirements from federal and state mandates.
